# 2024-12 Cabot Signs Axon Fleet 3 Five-Unit Agreement
On December 16, 2024, Cabot's Council adopted Resolution 62 by a 7-0 vote, authorizing `$79,785.88` for five Axon in-car video cameras, waiving bidding, and stating that the cameras would be paid primarily with state grant funds ([[Cabot Axon Vendor Ledger Resolutions and Grant Records]], `Scan2026-07-23_151554.pdf`, pp. 48–49, 97–98). On December 17, the Mayor signed Axon quote Q-595239-45629.839JS: five Fleet 3 Advanced in-car systems on a 60-month program (estimated start February 1, 2025, term through January 31, 2030), including five `AXON FLEET 3 - ALPR LICENSE - 1 CAMERA` lines and the ACEIP de-identified data-sharing appendix ([[Cabot Axon Fleet 3 Agreements and Invoice]], `AXON signed contract.pdf`, pp. 1–6).

## Significance
The signing sits three weeks before the reporting period in which Cabot's own semiannual report describes the Axon integration as ended for inaccuracy. The City's March 5, 2025 payment of `$79,792.07` shows that the acquisition proceeded financially; what remains unresolved is whether Cabot used the Fleet 3 ALPR function or only the in-car-video system.
