# 2026-04 Axon ALPR Trial Ends at Fayetteville PD
On 2026-04-23, after a run of roughly ten weeks and at least one extension, the Axon Fleet 3 ALPR trial ended. Capt. [[Jason French]] notified all sworn officers: "Our AXON ALPR trial period ends today. For the last 60 days, the LPR function has been activated in all patrol vehicles equipped with an AXON Fleet 3 camera." Sgt. [[Tiffney Lindley]] gave the trial positive feedback the same day. When the trial ended, FPD's access to the trial's administration, data, hotlists, and logs ended with it — a fact disclosed a month later in the FOIA correspondence.

## Significance
The conclusion of FPD's operational ALPR deployment. The trial's end is also the moment its data passed beyond the agency's reach — see [[Vendor-Controlled ALPR Trial Data]]. It left FPD, 26 days later, able to tell a FOIA requester that it did not "operate" ALPR while unable to produce the usage records of the program it had just run.
