# Benton County SO Camera Locations and System Status On 2026-07-22, the [[Benton County Sheriff's Office]] supplied eight exact Flock coordinate/site records and brief status statements after consulting its I.T. staff. On 2026-08-03 it clarified site operation, produced the P1873 permit packet, reported active Motorola/WatchGuard model counts, and identified County custodians for contracts and drones (Gmail messages `19f8a34219dd9e6f` and `19fc92818daf13aa`). ## Flock camera/site records The agency introduced the list as “The locations of our flock cameras are as follows.” Its August 3 follow-up says the two `"not installed/in permitting"` points remain uninstalled and `"all others are installed and operational"`. Its `#07 W HWY 12 @ GENTRY - RELOCATION` point is `36.276600, -94.579146`, looking southeast (`P1873...Signed.pdf`, p. 11). That point is **7.2 meters** from ARDOT's P1873 GIS row `36.276654, -94.579190`, but **181.3 meters** from BCSO site record 1. The permit therefore identifies the ARDOT row's BCSO/Flock project without establishing that site record 1 is the same camera, an old position, or a replacement position. ## Sharing statement BCSO wrote: “All flock cameras are shared to all other Arkansas agencies that have flock also.” The attached [[SharedNetworks 2026-07-22 Snapshot]] is broader than that sentence: it contains Arkansas reciprocal relationships, but also many configured outbound relationships to out-of-state, federal, private, and community-labeled organizations. The sentence is therefore treated as a nonexclusive description of statewide sharing, not as a certification that Arkansas peers are the only recipients. ## WatchGuard / Motorola video The agency says its in-car and body-worn “Watchguard (now Motorola)” cameras are not connected to cloud services and “download locally via Wi-Fi to on prim storage.” On August 3 it reported `"47 m500’s 73 4re’s and 164 v300 or v700 that show active"` while saying it has no body-camera inventory beyond those counts and that Motorola contracts are held by the County Judge (Gmail message `19fc92818daf13aa`). The statement does not split V300 from V700 or provide a native inventory, serials, assignments, dates, retention, server architecture, or contract terms. ## Drones and aviation BCSO says its drones are deployed ad hoc for operations, are not connected to ALPR cloud services, are not fed to cloud-based programs, and are not part of a Drone as First Responder auto-launch system. The August 3 response adds, `"EMA under the county judge has the drones"` (Gmail message `19fc92818daf13aa`). It separately says its OH-58 fleet has no downlink capability; one older FLIR8500 is installed on N134SD, while N131SD has only a spotlight. These are capability/status and custody statements, not substitute inventories, flight logs, policies, FAA records, procurement files, or deployment histories. ## Marine Division and sonar > [!contradiction] Boat-camera status is unresolved > The FOIA email states, “our marine division does not have cameras on our boats.” The official Marine Unit page, metadata-modified 2026-03-25 and still live on 2026-07-22, says the unit uses “boat-mounted radar, infrared cameras, and underwater sonar” (primary public record, [official Marine Unit page](../../../../web%20archive/2026-07-22/sheriff.bentoncountyar.gov/marine-unit.md)). Asked to reconcile the two, the custodian replied, `"No records found, it will most likely just need to be updated"` (Gmail message `19fc92818daf13aa`). That statement concerns use since an incident, while the official page concerns capability; it is not by itself a separate contradiction. ## 1033 assets BCSO identifies one Oshkosh M-ATV and one MRAP as the material 1033-program assets, apart from Conex storage boxes and small tools. No transfer documents, serial/asset identifiers, acquisition dates, disposition records, or equipment inventories accompanied the statement. ## Coverage boundary The August 3 supplement resolves the P1873 request in part and identifies County custodians for Motorola contracts and EMA drones.
