# Cabot Axon Fleet 3 ALPR Guide
Axon's product guide for the Fleet 3 ALPR system — "Document Revision: C, September, 2021," 53 pages — produced from Cabot's files. It is vendor documentation (Axon's own description of its product), not evidence of Cabot's configuration or use.
## What the guide documents
- **System shape**: "Axon Fleet 3 ALPR is a 3-lane, mobile ALPR system" with a 60° field of view covering three lanes to 50 feet at closing speeds up to 140 MPH; in-vehicle real-time hotlist alerting plus in-office search through Axon Evidence (pp. 5–6).
- **Hotlist categories**: USA FBI NCIC hotlists, State/DMV/DOR hotlists, local hotlists/BOLO/APB, Amber/Silver alerts, and CSV upload workflows with offense-category and priority decoding (pp. 30–36, per the table of contents).
- **Search capabilities**: ALPR record search by plate number and **"Search by Owner,"** date/time and hit/read filters, and conversion of ALPR records to evidence (pp. 23–27).
- **Governance surface**: an "Axon Fleet 3 ALPR Policy and Usage Public Page" that agencies can enable and edit, and ALPR permission settings in Axon Evidence (pp. 38–43).
- **Flock integration as designed**: chapters titled "Axon Evidence and the Flock Safety Integration," "Setting up and Configuring the Flock Safety Integration," "Updating Flock Roles," "Uploading Evidence from Flock Safety," and "Flock Search + Lookup" (pp. 44–50) — including guidance headings for agencies holding "both Axon mobile ALPR and Flock Safety Fixed ALPR" and "When does it make sense to use Axon ALPR Search vs. Flock Lookup?" (pp. 21–22).
## Evidence boundaries
- A 2021 product guide establishes marketed capability at that revision, not what Cabot enabled, configured, or used; Cabot's semiannual reports separately characterize its Axon alert experience ([[Cabot Semiannual LPR Reports]]).
- The guide's Flock-integration chapters predate the 2025 Axon-Flock partnership termination documented in the LRPD corpus ([[Axon Enterprise, Inc.]]); the corpus does not establish whether Cabot ever ran the integration in the configuration the guide describes.
