# Van Buren WatchGuard Retention Configuration `Watchguard Rentention Limits.pdf` contains three screenshots of VideoManager EL's `Storage Management > Retention Rules` interface. `Online Video` is selected, while `Offline archive` appears as a separate storage location whose settings are not displayed. ## Displayed Online Video rules The first screenshot shows a one-year default: > `"Default Duration 1 Years"` and `"Purge after 368 days"` (`Watchguard Rentention Limits.pdf`, p. 1.) Across the three screenshots, the visible categories include: - Seven days: Test/Training and Escort. - Thirty days: Motorist Assist, Field Interviews/Contact, Warrant Service Attempts, Speed Activation, and School Incident. - Ninety days: Traffic Accident Investigation, Warning Issued, Officer Notes, and Follow Up. - One year: Citation Issued, Misdemeanor Arrest, Misdemeanor Report, and USM Fugitive Taskforce. - Three years: DWI/DUI Arrest, Pursuit, Felony Report, Felony Offense Report, and Use of Force Report. They establish the visible configuration state when captured, but not when it took effect, who changed it, whether it applies to all devices, whether legal holds override purge, whether purged online footage moves to offline storage, or what the offline-retention schedule is. ## Open questions - The complete native or administrator export of all online and offline retention rules. - Configuration history, change approvals, audit logs, legal-hold behavior, deletion logs, and exception rules. - Whether Policy 4.04's ten-year minimum is implemented through offline archive, a different server, or another process.
